BEATS ME ......................... why people so often don't mention WHAT YEAR and VERSION vanagon they are asking about !! .. cause if it's a diesel vanagon .. or a 1.9 waterboxer one, or an air-cooled one, there won't be any durn oil pressure buzzer system.

buzzing relay ..I've heard that a few times.. it's not in the dash .. but I have heard many buzzing glow plug relays on diesel vanagons.

Ever seen that thing about ordering parts .. 'just give me year, make and model' ..

it's the same thing .. people must not realize it...... ..but year and version and model and what type trans of the vanagon people are asking about makes all the difference in the world. .............in helping people give useful suggestions.

trust me .. a 'diagnostic mind' is instantly putting many factors together to get an idea what might be going on .. some of which are year, model, and type of engine ....and type of trans ... those all factor in . when you don't need to ask ..what year ? ..what engine ? . it makes it so much easier.

My first thought is oil pressure buzzer.

But.... it's pretty quiet in the file you posted, so maybe a relay going hinky?

I would check if it's happening at stand still at idle or higher rpm. If no, maybe something in speedo is buzzing. If yes, I'd look toward electrical. Try driving with the cluster cover off. See if that doesn't help pinpoint where it's coming from.
