I recently replaced the stone-age engineered parking brake lever on my 1982 diesel Westfalia with the space-age engineered 1985 model. Big improvement. Unfortunately, the grip on the handle kept coming off when the handle was pulled agressively.

Tonight I tapped and screwed that sucker. Check out the details:
