Dear Mr. Squirrel : Whilst having the dash off and the air box open, along with the flaps and heater core you should take a good look at the fan/motor. PIA to get back in there as you will learn. There are at least two screws cleverly hidden either side of the fan/motor which also hold the two halves of the air box together. If there are steel clips on your airbox take 'em off and save them, or get new/used for re-assembly. you may be able to remove the top half of the airbox and do your work without removing the bottom half from the vehicle. Can't remember for sure. If so your job will be much easier, I found my box-to-vehicle seals to be in good shape, but since I pulled it that made it neccesary to replace them. Would have been just as good if I had not pulled that half, and the screws to get it out are a real bugger.
