Well, I bought a Vanagon because . . . LOL

I'd always liked the Buses - they're just so cool. But finding an automatic in the earlier years is not an easy task. Not that I wouldn't love to drive a manual transmission version - I just simply can't. Big no-no with my doctors and I'd be in a bunch of trouble!

So, I figured a Vanagon - a little newer, a little easier to find AT, better brakes, a little less loud, better handling but still fun as all heck to drive. Plus, it's big enough to carry myself, my 4 kids, grandma and whomever else wants to come along for the ride. And we can pack up the bikes, the picnic stuff and head off for the day somewhere. And they get fairly decent gas mileage. Plus they are so easy to see out of.

I really don't know why I'd drive anything else.
