There's a noticeable difference in build quality between the aftermarket $2 handles and the OEM $20 ones.

The metal broke right at the point the long piece joins the round piece. The knob didn't break off. This is the 3rd or 4th one of these babies to fail either by the metal breaking or the knob coming off. There must be better window cranks available somewhere.
