Just checked -- the Chevron station where I normally gas up in town is selling E10 -- 10% ethanol.

So my in-town gas mileage figures are lower than they would be if I were to be using undiluted gasoline.

The question is whether the savings that would accrue due to using undiluted fuel would offset the cost of the fuel. I need to visit a couple gas stations in town listed on pure-gas.org and see what they sell their stuff for. And add in the cost of some Techroline fuel injector nozzle cleaner to make up for what I'm used to getting from Chevron.

The research, it goes on and on, doesn't it?

Oh - for the gadget-obsessed, and I'm certainly one myself, I find that a pencil and notebook suffice for doing the higher math of dividing miles by gallons to determine mpg. And I'm barely numerate.
