Yep, I got an apology via email from Marriott. Curiously enough, I have had zero spam on the email address I use for my Marriott correspondence. At least in my case, this hypothesis doesn't seem to apply.

It's probably David Beierl sitting in some Vanagon in Canada or elsewhere up north, spying and spamming the Lists while he's on some vacation of some sort.;-)
