To empty your pockets! That's what it did to mine.

I went through a few sets of cam seals and various other expensive bits, and when the rear mail seal let go at 77k (and when VWoA overrode two dealerships to inform me that a brother was NOT family for drive train warranty purposes) that was enough.

I can't say how much I loved looking at that car and driving it wasn't hateful either, with the 30v and a 5 speed manual tranny. Every time I drove it, I always wondered how much closer I was getting to the next expensive breakdown.
