I was at a VW show last summer where 3 Phaeton W12's showed up. Their little club parked, installed their original window stickers and fielded questions. OVER $100,000. Apparently, they cost more than an equivalent Audi A8. So....why would anyone buy it? (It's the same car as the A8, with downgraded features and a less prestigious pedigree). Awe inspiring, not in it's genuine beauty, but it's general illogicalness.

If you gave me $100000 and told me to buy a car, Why would I buy a large sedan that gets bad gas mileage and no one has ever heard of?
