The only bad thing about working on the Vanagon is that you must remove everything from inside in order to do anything. INot a big deal for most, but if you are camping or loaded for travel or work and a wire comes loose....You have to unload everything to get to the wire... If it is raining or snowing, all that stuff has to go somewhere...if you have to chase a part...you have to take care of everything you've removed. I've had splitties and they were easier to pull the engine to do any work...Bad indeed it was, to try to work through the hatch, remove all the tin, etc etc. |
