On a similar note, we have an off-season special on the Kumho Power Grip 185R14 Snow Tire, which has the same specs as the venerable Hankook RA08. This has a similar silica compound and directional tread design to the Nokian and Vredestein snows, but is not studdable (to my knowledge). Kumho is an OEM supplier to Volkswagen and very popular among Eurovan owners. The $99 price is courtesy of Kumho's importer, who screwed up our order, and to make ammends gave us this one shipment at their cost. So I am passing on the savings. I have 30 tires at this price and that will be it.
