Hi all. Quite premature, as I just finished installing the Ernst, but here's some reasons why I won't buy the Walker 2.1 WBX Quiet Flow muffler ever again. 1. no braces between inlet pipe/body and outlet/body. (Ernst has 3 at inlet and 2 or 3 at outlet) 2. Possibly lesser quality body metal or less thick. 3. Cost more, (current $30 rebate not withstanding. At one FLAPS price, the rebate would still not bring it as low) My initial reaction was that the Ernst (2.1) is slightly louder, but I can live with that. Of note, the Ernst body is a larger OD. I doubt many would choose the Walker and I'm not overly familiar with the stock WBX muffler bracket, but just in case. Though mine went through *minor* torture on my engine swap (less than 1000 KM's with bad brace design, flex bushing in place from day one), and met it's final demise getting sheared off when it met a boulder, in between those events, cracks appeared at end metal near inlet pipe. I suspect these happened due to a lack of bracing on the muffler.
