Okay Rocky, I'll try to explain.

The 1.9 and the 2.1 oil pressure sensing systems are completely different.

1.9: Has an idiot light. One pressure switch located on the bottom of the engine between cylinders 3 & 4. No rpm sensor. If the pressure drops below .3 bar the light goes on. Period.

2.1: Two pressure switches and a few electronics. Low pressure switch just like the 1.9. Pressure drops below .3 bar, the idiot light comes on. Hi pressure switch located to the lower left of the crank pulley. Pressure drops below .9 bar with engine rpm over 2k, light comes on, buzzer sounds.

You have a 1.9. The second scenario does not apply. All you have is one pressure switch. To add a gauge, you need a hose to get from under the engine to on top of the engine. A tee and the stock switch and the correct sending unit for the gauge you're going to use.

Ignore all about the dynamic oil pressure sensing system. It does not apply to your van. Pressure low, light comes on. Period. There ain't no more.
