Hi John,

Check out the GoWesty article on horns ...

http://www.gowesty.com/library_article.php?id=318

It lists both parts -- horn ring and contact tab which is part of the turn signal level assembly.

To get to the parts you need to remove the steering wheel - center VW emblem and large nut inside gets the steering wheel off. Then three long thin bolts as I recall and the rest of the parts come out.

I need to do something with this on my '88GL Van. Mine is damaged, probably needs. Have been unable to find a good clear picture of one, nor can I locate a replacement part for it anywhere. It is part of that mostrous cluster of p[arts that make up the turn signal and wiper switch assemblage. But from psrts suppliers on the internet, I can't tell how it's mounted, on a separate plate, or what.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks,

John
