Hi everyone!

I'm selling the following items. Buyer must pick up in Sacramento, CA area. I am asking $1,200 for everything listed below. Following is a link to pictures of items for sale. https://picasaweb.google.com/blakeheinlein/20110403VanagonEngineStandHoistFORSALE?feat=directlink

1984 Vanagon Engine (2.1L) 106,644 miles on rebuilt engine. The engine was rebuilt by AVP in Sacramento, CA in November 1999. It was rebuilt to a 2.1 L engine using a new crank shaft, pistons, new heads with high ratio rocker arms, and other typical parts also replaced in a rebuilt. I have the rebuild certificate from AVP. The original case has 281,644 miles on it. Previously connected to an automatic transmission. Known issues include: engine burns about 1 qt of oil every 3,000 miles (not abnormal), has minor coolant leak from head gasket external seal (no exhaust into coolant), has typical ticking valve lifter after sitting for a week but goes away when warmed up, helicoil in oil drain plug with ball valve added for easy oil changes. I regularly changed the oil every 3,000 miles and used Castrol GTX 20W50. Cylinder compression was tested before removal and reads as follows #1-150 psi, #2-150 psi, #3-145 psi, #4-175 psi. A link to video of the engine before it was removed in December 2010 is provided above with pictures. The engine has been stored inside since removal. Other items attached to engine: AC compressor new from 2 years ago running on 134A refrigerant, and water pump 2 years old. I have all maintenance logs and mileages for the engine and will provide to buyer.

Engine Parts (2) two air flow meters; (2) two throttle bodies, exhaust headers, muffler, catalytic converter, engine carrier bar, engine control module, AC idle speed increase valve, engine wiring harness, idle speed stabilizer, expansion tank, H-pipe, some coolant hoses

Engine Stand This stand is designed for large V8 engines and works great.

Engine Hoist Engine hoist is from Harbor Freight and is about 3 years old. Always stored indoors.
