As Chris replied, the cover slides straight aft, but it may take a good yank
to get it moving, watch the dash lip as he says. Once the cover is off,
watch that the plastic bits that hold the flap(s) hinge in the box don't
fall out (if you find a strange piece or pieces of black plastic on the
floor after pulling the cover, that is probably what they are; quantity 4,
one at each end of the flaps). The heater cover normally holds these in
place. Once the cover is off, you will see the horizontal channels in the
cover, and the corresponding edges on the heater box.
