I've read Tencents posts. Assuming he wrote the instructions, it makes sense that he was so thorough and clear. Writing instructions that the "everyman" can follow is not an easy task IMO.

Not sure if all external oil cooling kits have this, but think this is worth mentioning. From his "better" WBX engine ad:

"1. Oil Cooler Kit: all kits include Mocal sandwich plate adapter with built-in thermostatic control valve, ....."

Seems the valve opens at a certain temp. i.e. the external oil cooler isn't cooling the oil all the time.
