It came to me last night as I was looking at the Bentley that I may have some kind of contact issue. I have not yet put the plastic cover pieces back on, and noticed I have "turning noises" when the wheel is turned. Then, I noted in Bentley that there are very specific clearance measurements for getting the steering wheel back on just right. This could all add up to a contact problem. I will check it out today - now that all the storms have blown through the state.

Thanks,

John
