Hi Bill.

I had a similar problem for a bit and to get around it, I just attached a remote starter switch to the starter, ran it under the back hatch and left it under the back seat. It's a great tool to have even afterward and fairly cheap at $10-20.

Depending on the issue that may fix you up temporarily.
