that's real smart Jeff. staying out of that 'propeller line' .. because blades do fly off spinning blade assemblies sometimes all right ..

on the those automotive radiator fans ( fan is on the water pump, not crankshaft ) .. aircraft propellers .. jet engine turbine blades ....rare, but it happens.. sure make a mess.

there are still a few Datsuns on the road .. so it could have been just a year ago .

bottom line though .. safety has to be absolute, as much as possible. Lots of ways to get hurt with moving equipment.
