Max, if never opened, it is probably fine for whatever application. If opened, it may have deteriorated some, in that it may have evaporated, leaving some residue. However, you are not going to be running it in an internal combustion engine. You are going to be burning it in an open flame system. If it burns ok, I don't see how it could hurt your stove. It certainly could not be harmful for washing parts. It hasn't any of the additives that make old gasoline problematic, and it is nearly pure "naptha," meaning it is a little lighter in weight than gasoline.

Just my opinion, and it is that, no science has gone into it.
