its a screw into special grommet arrangement. The steel cored plastic grommet goes into body. The headless (but has a slot) screw goes into mudflap. Then the mudflap pressed into position and the headless screw goes into grommet and holds fast. I got the grommets from dealer and was able to re-use the screws. I think our good vendors can supply. alistair
