Does anyone know if it is possible to replace a gas cap? I'm sending this email directly to a few folks who I think might know more about replacement parts than some folks, but if anyone knows, please let me know! I will phone my mechanic soon, but thought I'd rather start by finding out whether anyone has ever had to replace a gas tank cap, and what's involved. Might I be able to get one from a parted-out van? (Chris, do you know? You often seem to have parts.) How much of it would I have to replace, in order to end up with a gas cap lock that works? Might I be able to replace it with some other cap, even if it doesn't lock? Ron, I didn't see this as something Bus Depot sells - do you know whether it's possible to replace them? Frank, have you come across them? Or anyone else???
did u squirt a bunch of liquid wrench in the keyhole? try that and WD-40. spray the heck out of it...and shoot it into the keyhole..let it soak for a day... then try it.. if that fails then just stick a BFS (Big Freakin Screwdriver) in there and turn. |
