Yep. You can also do right outer to left inner, right inner to left outer, etc... swaps. But simply flipping them in place is simpler. Swapping half shafts on a manual tranny, simpler still. I know the Bentley talks about a groove which is supposed to go on the (outside?), but no one has ever found a reason for that, AFAIK, and some replacements don't even have a groove.
