I have used StaLube brand 'black slimey' Moly-Graph grease on hundreds of CV joints with excellent results. the packages that come with the CV joints are not enough grease in my opinion. I have seen many 'dried up' CV joints ...from insuffecient amount of grease I suspect. It's almost like grease evaporates out of them over time, especially the inner CV's next to the transmission. each grease gun size tube is 14 oz. I probably put in about 8 or 9 oz of grease for each CV joint .....in the joint, itself, the boot, and the flange 'bowl' areas.
