Speaking of which, I rented a car last weekend from Enterprise take my daughter to a college orientation, and I got a 2011 Chevy Impala. As it started to get dark, I tried to figure out how to set the rear view mirror to "night". The mirror had a row of buttons along the bottom, none of which I could make out the little symbols to tell what they did. Until I pushed the last button..."Calling On Star Emergency" said the voice! No way to turn if off either. So, I was somewhat embarrassed as On Star answered with 'What is your emergency?" I explained that I was in a rental and that I had hit the button by mistake. Oh well. Oh, and the mirror? Auto-dimming, just not as fast as I would have liked it. Made me appreciate my low-tech Vanagon!! Jeff

Interesting idea. Beats the heck out of trying to reverse engineer a GM On Star unit into my Westy. ;)
