I agree with Ron. It sounds like a metal brake line has broke (sorry couldn't resist). Have her pump while you investigate. They love to go back near the nose of the transmission in my experience. It is usually the really long one that goes from the front to the back too! If you find it is bad inspect all of your metal lines under the van and replace all of them that look rusty. This is a serious safety issue that should be addressed ASAP.
