I personally wouldn't be scared off by a salvaged title. These vans are 25 years old, the condition is what matters. And since a lot of people perceive they have a lower value because of an S title, they sell for less. In many cases, a vanagon will get salvaged by the insurance company after a small accident, or a theft(with or without damage), or when it is auctioned through a donation/charity site.
