Subject: Vanagon rear hatch removal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello, Can anyone offer some insight to the "correct" way to remove a 1991 VW Vanagon rear hatch? Remove bolts on hatch or body (which would be easier on the reinstall)? Do the items inside the top L/R S shaped grommets have electrical connectors which can be removed to get the hatch off, or do you have to go fishing inside the hatch to pull them out? Looks like the R grommet has the rear wiper wash line in it. Thanks in advance for any tips. Don (AZ) 1991 Vanagon camper.
