As far as I know, it's illegal to drive with stereo headphones in Washington
too except for bluetooth and hands-free cell phone devices.
I just hook my phone up to my car stereo to listen to my iPod and the GPS
directions come right through my stereo. Like Jim said, when audio for the
GPS comes on, it dims the music and then resumes when the spoken directions
are finished.
