Remember dart guns, before they became "too dangerous to sell to consumers"? This fly swatter gun had a round fly swatter on a dart shaft. You could push that into the spring loaded gun (like the original darts that had suction cups on them,,,you shot them against a slick target board) It even had a little string, so you didn't have to get up and fetch the fly-dart after you shot the skeeter or fly. Around my family's old trailer, when we 'moved up' from camping in the tent and the Ford woodie station wagon...you could wait for the fly or mosquito to land, then Shoot the Sucker! I wish I still had that... My dad also had a swatter with a hole in the center...It came from Bud Lilly's Fly Shop in West Yellowstone, Montana...the center was left out and on the handle it said..."Give the flys a sporting chance"...Mom hated that... Oh, vanagons......I made a box the fits behind the passenger's seat. It's just tall enough to fit under the fold down bed (and it helps support the front of the bed if your S.O. insists on 'plunking down' on it like it was a normal bed...) Inside that box lives my porto pot, when I have it along, my dog stuff, etc. I take the box outside as a spare camp stool and it also doubles as a workbench and a step. |
