I run 5W40 Rotella T synthetic in both the diesel and the 1.9 gas motor. I would never run a multigrade starting in 5 and ending in 30 in any VW motor. Ending in 40 or 50 is much more better. If not a synthetic, starting in 15 or 20 is also mo' betta. Look in your owner's handbook. Jim |
