In the aviation world we used brass nuts on the exhaust pipes. These didn't require anti-seize compound. It did happen once in a blue moon that a brass nut would seize. But not very often at all. Usually what would happen would be the threads in the nut would tear out, making it possible to clean up the stud threads once the nut was out of the way. Sure beat the heck out of having to replace a stud. On the rare occasions I ever saw a truly seized brass nut, like most seized nuts, there was a risk of breaking the stud or backing it out of its hole. I vote for brass nuts on the exhaust studs of the WBX - if you can find them.

One caveat however. Brass nuts absolutely MUST be wrench torqued to spec. The use of the Calibrated Wrist Torque not permitted. Then the click heard is not the sound of torque meeting spec, but instead the indication of the degree of the mechanic's arthritis.
