the question is WOULD YOU WANT TO stop at a vw dealership and get them to work on your vanagon.. most vw dealerships have 20 yr old computer geeks working in the shop now who have never even seen a vanagon..

a vw dealership is the LAST place id go to get any work done on a vanagon...

find yourself a good independent vw shop that knows vanagons...
