Subject: FS: Pedestal/ 5th Seat for 84-86 Westfalia
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

*FOR SALE* *PEDESTAL SEAT *(5th Seat for Vanagon Westfalia). This is a really nice Seat--a really nice find. It has the brown velour zig/zag Westfalia pattern used in some Westys from the years '84-'86. It is a captain's chair with fold up/down arms. That's two positions for the arms either up or down-NOT of the adjustable vartiety in late '80s Vanagons. The velour is in very good condition. The seat shows very gentle wear and the seat welting on the edge of the seat is straight, NOT all wiggly as with well-used seats. The seat has no rips or tears or burns or odors and the seat cushion is firm.

I can p-mail pictures.

If you're not familiar with these they were an option on the Westfalia models to accommodate a 5th passenger. The Pedestal mounts on existing floor rails under the carpet which are on the floor next to the "kitchen/sink cabinet. By design the seat swivels.

On the seat I'm selling, the pedestal is in good shape with a working seat belt and compartment with door under the seat--kind of a glove box as was standard. These tend to be pricy on the Samba and I paid top dollar. But I'm not going to use it and my loss may be your gain. I'll bet we can work out a price you'll like, but I can't give this one away as it were.

It's heavy and shipping would be costly so I think it makes most sense to sell locally in Los Angeles/ SoCal area.

Thanks. Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
