  I recommend the OEM type. It is so very easy to use. The pitch of the
screw in the jack makes it easy to turn - even though it takes many
turns, and it is designed specifically to fit the van at the correct
lift points to get the job done. Anything else is a definite "make-do"
device. I beleive in the old principle of the right to for the right job
- and the OEM jack is just such a case. One caveat, however - always
take with you a couple of blocks of 2X6 or 2X8 lumber about 12 inches or
16 inches long upon which to rest the foot of the jack when in use.
Having a couple of chocks along too would be a good thing as well, to
prevent inadvertent rolling. I always carry at least one jack stand as
well. I never trust a jack of any kind when I'm doing any kind of work
on a van - even changing a tire. Raise the vehicle with the jack, slip
the jack stand under a suitable point under the van, let the vehicle
back down on the jack stand to stbilize it, then change the time. It's
not that much trouble. Better safe than sorry.

BTW - I keep a spare OEM jack in the shop to use when I'm working on the
van at home. And, there is a list member who sells a lift extender for
use with a Hi-lift or Wagon-Wheel Jack if you use one, say at home for
your own maintenance.
