Dan,
I'd say enjoy it the way it is. I've been without AC for most of my life
and live in the central valley of Calif. The van's got wing windows - get
12v fans - adapt.

I hear ya Ben - and I could do it, but honestly the thought of all the
work involved is more then I want to get into right now. The car is
up to trips as it is with just a little work, that's what I wanted.
I'll live without the air for now, and see how it flies. I like the
idea of the swamp cooler - won't make the car an icebox, but it may
make it OK - needs some more research.
