For sure. The stored voltage wasn't what I was worried about. :)

The voltage that appeared was simply a total unknown in an "X Files" electrical adventure I uncovered. Finding that 7.x voltage ~ coincided with S8 blowing which prompted me to double check that S7, which I modified, wasn't involved. Of course I had removed the jumper from back of S7 at time of mod (it connected S7 to S9 which is hard wired to back of S8), but all this caused me to ensure the back of S7, S8 weren't otherwise connected in panel. They aren't but as we all know it's a mess of mostly red wires where details can be overlooked.

But. If the inverter is drawing while off, then it's time for a properly rated kill switch and wires. Or just a fuse I can pull during Winter months. Easy to check. As you suggest, likely just stored power from previous use. I just had no idea a (cap?) could store a charge that long.

Neil.
