Ben, Please clarify what is going on. Car alarm choices is certainly relevant to our vehicles, and Miguel did not mention any of the stuff being talked about on the earlier thread. Car alarms seems to be a legitimate thread in its own right. I might want to try to install something on my Vanagon to protect it from intruders. That is quite different from the discussion that was previously closed.
