Subject:   Changing the propane regulator
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

This is on an '84 Westy. I just changed the propane tank regulator, ordered it from Gowesty, shipped the next day pri mail and arrived in good shape.

Took just 40 min to put the new one on including leak checking the fittings (& gathering the correct tools) 7/8" for the reverse thread fitting into the tank, 13/16" for the line fittings (I did use a crows foot for the upper fitting but I could have bent the lower tube out of the way to get it with the wrench) to the 2 way splitter that screwed into the regulator (tapered thread). I used 2 wrenches (just like you bend brake lines) to rebend the copper tubing as the new regulator is longer that the old one. A small squirt of dish soap mixed with a little water & a paint brush to leak check all 4 propane connections and I'm done.

I thought about photos after I was done....
