Hi all. Still need to glue screen bottom to canvas and decide on zipper detail at bottom each side, but this should all work out ok. Pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/musomuso/1981WestyPoptopFrontScreenReplacement?authkey=Gv1sRgCLihkY-j3bjb0gE# Beige material would have been better IMO. This is the older style screen/window setup. Wanted to make screen removable, but AFAIK meant glueing it to canvas around flap. That material is old and might not hold up to zipper use. (though in hindsight no curves would have made that part much easier) Challenges: keeping glue away from teeth, clamping zipper so teeth stayed a suitable distance away from existing material. Used cloths pegs and pins glueing bit by bit. The back board was essential. Not a pretty job, but it should hold up. No special tools required, though patience is. ;) Had used this to patch tent: http://www.beaconadhesives.com/cgfab.html but would have been $30 or more. Had Goop on hand. Seems to hold quite well: http://tinyurl.com/3gv2qeu though we'll see how sunlight affects it.
