Pun intended. Ok, this case has been apart before. I don't trust that the proper fasteners were used in some locations. Please take a look at the linked photo. To me the nuts on the left look like sealing nuts without a seal and were installed with the inset side up. These were found on the studs at the front of the camshaft, and the rear of the crankshaft. Is this right? PO's new oil pump had 3 nylock nuts and 1 regular nut : / Thanks Scott and Frank for your advice so far. |
