Can you do that in Canada?

Loren has it pretty well right. Hide the goodies, out of sight, locked if you can. A security safe works wonders if the theif has time and the inclination to rummage about. If not a pack-safe (tm) works to delay the theft considerably. A westy can be outfitted with cabinet locks on all the cabinets. Foils the casual theif. Nothing here to steal folks, move along.

Many security systems have an optional annunciator (woopwoopwoop whine...) If you figure out to have a 150dB annunciator with your alarm system. Put it inside the van. The casual theif will leave in a hurry. It is noticeable but not objectionable if the van is closed. Inside the van...unless you've been to too many concerts in the olden days... you won't be able to fumble about with your hands over your ears for the 10 seconds or so that takes you to try another easier target.

REF: Bear knife.

Huh? waddya say, Loren, speak up!

Pensionerd. (got locks, got sounds)
