I too have been putting off the job of relays (mostly intended for when I upgrade the bulbs in my H4's)

My thinking is that the lowest wattage H4 bulbs won't pull that much more but maybe they do. Of course getting my meter out and comparing stock to H4 just wouldn't make any sense. I'm sure someone's already done that though. Not certain if measuring and comparing voltage drop or current is the thing to do here, but I'm reading up.

I gather one moral to the story (aside from hints on "how to") is that even with stock headlights, the ign. switch suffers in the long term. Electrical parts wear out. One of the first electrical parts I noticed wearing was the big wire from the battery to the fuse panel. (aka 30) The white plastic protective sleeve on push on connector was brown.
