I have a friend who popped in a 2.5 subie turnkey kit from Vanaru/Ben in his 91 syncro. It's a very complete and neat package. Support has been excellent on the problems so far: 1. cracked small car stainless steel headers - replaced with improved unit no cost. It is a very easy replacement in this engine. 2. a minor yet somewhat annoying stall when coming to stop, clutch in, foot off gas. Happens only once in a while and it seems to be a subie engine problem. Replacement throttle body sent from Ben (free) did not cure. The other day a new ECU (flashed to remove "ghost codes") was sent by Vanaru (free). We installed it yesterday so no word yet if it has solved the problem.

Overall the van is very nice to drive with this engine. As others have said, the Sube engine looks like it belongs there.
