I'm not aware of any elves but we do have yard gnomes and one of them could be involved. I did leave my tools on a pretty low table and some were on the ground in the vicinity of the slave cylinder. All I can say is next time you have to service your clutch slave cylinder and can leave the rear end up on the jack stands over night see what happens. I had my van jacked up high enough that I could easily roll under it on my creeper without getting grease on my belly. And I'm not what you would call slender.........I've got a few 6 packs under my belt. Not a keg, a few 6 packs. And if it is elves or gnomes I'm gonna start leaving my Bentley and tools out all the time along with a few replacement parts and let them have at it...................
