Technically not a Vanagon but it's Friday.
I am very pleased with the body shop that did the restoration work on my truck and I want to share my good experience with the Vanagon/Westfalia/Transporter communities. Photos and brief story in this Samba thread.

I bought this vehicle to use as my residential construction work truck and it performed beautifully. Residential construction has nearly dried up in this economy so maybe I was supposed to try something new?
I'm somewhat conflicted about the idea of actually even driving it. Before the restoration I would often find "sell me your truck" notes on the windshield or other Vanagon folk waiting to talk to me in parking lots. Now that she's all "purty", I don't know what to expect.
I do know that I'll need to choose my parking spots more carefully.
