For GPS work not mapping by voice one can still buy Garmin GPS-V used. NMEA compliant, hold TOPO! maps just fine. Garmin hates me. I have several registered serial numbers. If you keep a W98 machine around you can use the Original mapsource to get those missing places back. NavTeq not my fave. I don't need updated topo maps, unless of course the big one comes....
