Now, are you talking about when it shifts up during normal acceleration, or that "kickdown" upshifting?

I'm not happy with how the transmission upshifts during normal "green light" acceleration, and tend to shift manually, using the auto trans shift lever, taking the engine up to higher rpms as though I was driving

Right pedal cannot push pedal all the way to the floor, correct. Not easily, not unless I either take foot off pedal momentarily and re-seat it on the pedal at a higher location, sliding my butt forward on the seat; or slide the driver's seat forward. In which case, I cannot easily take pressure off pedal without lifting whole leg up.

So given the reduced range of pedal action I get out of this fused ankle I set the driver's seat to a middle position where I don't go too fast or too slow -- on the average.

It's like driving with a downhill ski boot on your right foot. Try that sometime.
