You are correct - I saw the 6 bladed fan on a vendor site. Perhaps it is quieter? I also have noticed on the generic auto parts sites fans from china advertised for under $100 buy I would not trust them.

My strong suggestion is to use the fan with the motor it was designed for, unless someone out there has real hard knowledge about the differences and tradeoffs. That being said, my &apos;84 had a three-bladed fan, my &apos;89 has a three-bladed fan and frankly I doubt that the six-bladed fan is original.

ETKA gives two p/n, 811 959 465 A and 251 959 465 B but both point to three-blade drawings and I can&apos;t tell whether they&apos;re interchangeable or whether one is for the 300/200 W motor and the other for the 450 W.
